EMPLOYEES of Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) last Friday held a paper recycling drive as part of their green initiative to highlight the need for change in attitudes towards environment conservation.
Staff across JPMC brought along with the old newspapers, magazines, old phone directories, cardboard boxes and old forms, which were later collected by Daikyo Sdn Bhd, a local recycling company. They managed to gather a total of 170kg of recyclable paper.
Ak Danny Pg Tajuddin, Marketing Officer of Jerudong Park Medical Centre said, "We are very pleased to hold this green campaign. It not only encourages recycling habit among staff but assists in preserving the environment.
The recycling drive was held at the car parking space of JPMC. Recently, the Hospital organised a cleaning campaign at the Muslim Cemetery at Kg Jerudong as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
