The Staff Nurse’s key roles and responsibilities is to identify, assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care provided to those patients he/she has been assigned. Moreover to assist the clinicians and Allied Health Professionals to perform clinical procedures and care as required.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited College/University
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Professional Requirements

  • Registered Nurse from the country of origin

Clinical Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a hospital/health clinic of direct patient preferred (non-local)
  • Bruneian and Permanent Resident graduates are welcomed to apply

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operation of the ward/clinic/clinical services
  • Plan and implement patient care plans
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace policies and procedures
  • Assess and plan courses for patient care
  • Make recommendations for professional development based on staff performance review
  • Collaborate with physician and multidisciplinary team members to create a plan of care for each patient
  • Respond to injuries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians
  • Track and maintain medical supplies inventory along with other staff members by checking stock for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering infection prevention and control policies and procedures including medication administration and storage procedures including drug regulations
