General Information

Currently working as a Specialist in Nephrology at the department of Renal Services, Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam.  

He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Nephrology, and has worked at the Ministry of Health, Oman and at the National Health Service, UK and in India.  

Dr Jayakrishnan is an Adjunct Senior Assistant Professor at University Brunei Darussalam. He is also International Clinical Examiner for MRCP (PACES)  

His sub-specialty areas of interest include Acute Kidney Injury and Renal Replacement Therapy (particularly hemodialysis).  

He always tries to practice effective communication of healthcare information to empower patients and their family members to participate as full partners in their care which in turn will improve patient’s adherence to treatment and self-care.
