Founded in 1992, JPMC became the first hospital in Brunei Darussalam to receive the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2014 and was re-accredited for the second time in 2017. JPMC maintained its accreditation in 2020 and was awarded its third Joint Commission International (JCI) award by the American-based body by demonstrating continuous compliance with its internationally recognized criteria. In line with one of the strategic priorities of JPMC, to provide quality service delivery and patient safety is always at the core of all the services provided. Thus, the JCI accreditation further strengthen and improve the safety culture and quality of patient care.
