Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre Jointly Organised Cemetery Cleaning Campaign

10 April 2021 – In light of the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan, Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) yesterday organized a cemetery cleaning campaign with over 50 volunteered employees from both hospitals. The event was also supported by participation from Awang Kamis Bin Panjang, Acting Village Chief of Kampong Jerudong ‘B’, Persatuan Warisan Kedayan Jerudong, Persatuan Serbaguna Koperasi Buhor (PSKB) and residents of Kampong Jerudong. The campaign took place at two cemeteries, “Tanah Perkuburan Islam Jelutong Lampong” and “Tanah Perkuburan Islam Polo” in Kampong Jerudong.

The activity began with a cleaning campaign of the cemetery areas and then followed by the recital of Surah Yassin and Tahlil led by Ustaz Haji Ishkandar bin Haji Buntar, Head of Religious Teacher of PJSC and Awang Md Amin bin Mahari, Human Resources Executive of JPMC.

Leading the cleaning campaign at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Jelutong Lampong was Dr. Muhammad Hiza Wardy bin Hj Abd Halim, Deputy Medical Director of JPMC, while at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Polo was led by Dr Haji Mazrul Adimin bin Haji Awang Besar, Executive Director of PJSC.

“The collaboration between JPMC and PJSC has been a success and will continue to hold similar activities on a regular basis, as we hope to further enhance the interdepartmental relationships among the staff as well as helping the community.”, stated by Dr. Muhammad Hiza Wardy.

The cleaning campaign served as part of the hospital’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and are planning more activities in the spirit of the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan​
