General Information
Dr Amalinda graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2003 and returned to Brunei for her Basic Specialty Training in General Surgery after her internship year. She then completed her Higher Specialty Training in Guys & St Thomas Hospital, London, as a Clinical Fellow in Oncoplastic & Reconstructive Breast Surgery from 2011 – 2015 in their Breast Unit which sees more than 400 cases of breast cancer each year. She obtained her specialist qualifications in Breast Surgery in 2016.
Dr Amalinda is currently a Visiting Consultant for Breast Surgery in R.I.P.A.S. Hospital. She is experienced in the surgical management of breast cancer as well as benign breast conditions.
About Me
I am passionate about increasing breast cancer awareness among the woman of Brunei. Since my return to Brunei, I have been involved in many breast awareness workshops & roadshows throughout the country along with members from TBCC & Health Promotion Centre in order to actively promote Breast Self-Examination & Breast Screening. I hope that in the future, with increased awareness, breast cancer will be detected at earlier stages. With earlier detection of breast cancer, survival can be improved.
