Dr. Si Lay always tries her best in her career and won “Gold Medal” in Central Public Service Training, Union of Myanmar in 1985 and received “Certificate of Merit” by The Conjoint Exam Board (Obs & Gynae), Malaysia in 2004. She was also awarded “Best Lecturer” of Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, University of Malaya in 2012. She received “Certificate of Excellent Service”, from Vice Chancellor, University of Malaya in 2016.

Her area of expertise is “management of Gynecological Cancers”. She always gives compassionate care from her heart. She also gives priority for the Quality of Life, including sexual life, of women especially menopausal women, her Gynae Cancer patients and other Cancer Survivors.

She frequently reaches out the women at out of reach areas in person or through media for Gynecological cancers prevention, screening for early detection and treatment as her Social Responsibilities to Community. She is a great mentor and truly inspires young doctors for humanity and volunteerism.

She is dearly loved by her patients because of her kind touch and signature smile. She is named as Doktar Bunga/ Doktar Sanyum by her patients from Royalty to women at the grassroots.

Her motto is “When you give ‘metta’, you will get Unconditional Love”.
