Human Resources Society (HRS) Brunei: How to Build Organisational Effectiveness with the Right Essentials

MONDAY, 26 SEP 2022, BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – About 60 Human Resources Society (HRS) members consisting of HR professionals from public and private sectors across the nation, attended a workshop and connect session on the topic of Organisational Effectivess Essentials at the RF Level, Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) Building.

This edition is also brought together with Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) as key event partners.

This workshop and connect edition follows the dialogue outcome from the HRS Learn and Connect Series: Global Trends that Keep HR Up at Night last August 2022 to provide tools to manage rapidly changing environments and its important relevance to HR.

The event was kicked-off with opening remarks by the Vice President of HRS, Marzalenie Hj Omar who is currently the Learning and Development Manager at Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP). 

The workshop-style session, led by Azrina Taib who is the Head of Organisational Effectiveness at BSP, provided an introduction to Organisational Effectiveness – or more widely known in the industry as Organisation Development (OD), insight into key Organisational Models and tools used to diagnose an organisation’s effectiveness.

In the session, members were taught important practices in OD that an organisation needs to embrace and maintain its levels of performance within a rapidly changing environment to enable growth in the business through diagnostics and effective interventions.

The event closed with presentation of certificates of appreciation by HRS Vice President Marzalenie Hj Omar to Azrina Taib as main facilitator, and the event partner representative Genevieve Yee, Human Resource Manager for JPMC and PJSC.

HRS was established on 5 June 2021, supported by BSP Social Investment in the effort to continuously develop the capability of HR professionals in Brunei.
