1st August 2023 – JPMC conducted a Medical Corporate Social Responsibility initiative (CSR) in celebration of their 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary, in collaboration with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) to provide health support for the inner village population as part of their hearts and minds activities to celebrate their 62nd Anniversary.
A combination of 70 committee members and volunteers from both JPMC and RBAF dedicated their time and effort to an overnight stay at Kampong Melilas providing basic health screening, dental screening and treatment, and first aid training by certified first aid trainers to the villagers of Kampong Melilas and surrounding rural villages. JPMC hopes with these activities giving back to the community has influenced others to extend their assistance and to raise awareness for villagers of Kampong Melilas regarding the importance of maintaining good health and knowledge of necessary first aid steps required if any medical emergency were to occur.
As the visit comes to an end, a token of appreciation was presented to Col Dr Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak, Chief Dental Services RBAF representing RBAF and the Acting Head of Village Kampong Melilas, Hj Muhd Yassin ABD Rahim SAP, by Dr Muhd Hiza Wardy bin Haji Abdul Halim, Chairman of Medical CSR for JPMC 25th Silver Jubilee, to express JPMC’s gratitude for their support and contributions in making this event possible.
