24th June 2023 – To raise awareness of our role in protecting the environment, JPMC collected more than 300 kilograms of trash collected during the beach clean-up campaign at Jerudong beach on Friday, 23rd June 2023.
As part of JPMC’s 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary celebration, JPMC Environmental CSR organized a beach clean-up event in collaboration with Borneo United Enterprise Sdn Bhd. The event was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, in his capacity as Executive Director of Jerudong Park Medical Centre. Also present at the event were JPMC’s Managements, department heads, and 70 volunteers.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Hj Mohd Isham bin Hj Jaafar highlighted the impact of littering the marine environment can damage the ecosystem and destroy the entire beach experience, especially for future generations. Yang Berhormat Dato also hopes that this can contribute to long-term behaviour change and promote a sense of responsibility for the environment.
