JPMC & PJSC held Khatam Al-Quran & Sungkai Event at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque

With Eid Mubarak celebration around the corner, Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) have jointly organised a “Majlis Khatam Al-Quran & Sungkai” event at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque, Jerudong on Saturday afternoon, 1st of June 2019. 

Among the objectives of the ceremony were to further enliven the last days of the Holy month of Ramadhan with positive deeds especially in reciting the holy book, the Quran.

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Md Isham Bin Hj Jaafar, Minister of Health in his capacity as the Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC was present as the guest of honour for the blessed event. Also present were Yang Mulia Dr Hj Mazrul Adimin Bin Hj Awang Besar, the Executive Director of Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre and Mr. Izzul Hamzi Bin Haji Jomari, Operations Manager, Gleneagles JPMC Cardiac Center.

The ceremony started with the recital of Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Md Isham Bin Hj Jaafar, followed by a recital of Takhtim, Tahlil, Dzikir, Recital of Doa’ Khatam Al-Quran, Doa’ Arwah and ended with Dikir Marhaban & Doa Selamat led by Yang Mulia Imam Haji Kamaruzaman bin Haji Jakar.

The significance and values of the holy month of Ramadhan whilst to aspire and to remember to do good deeds, and no matter how big or small, all the good deeds’ rewards will be multiplied during the holy month of Ramadhan. 

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Md Isham also has expressed his appreciation to the staffs of JPMC and PJSC and hopes that such determination that will continue to strengthen the bond for the Muslim Community, and between the staff of JPMC & PJSC especially with the approaching of Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, where it will be the month of peace and forgiveness.  

The ceremony ended as the guests came together to break their fast and enjoyed the company of each other, celebrating the efforts from both medical institutions with the blissful event.
