JPMC's Charity Goes To Underprivileged Families

7 May 2021 – During Ramadan, both fasting and acts of charity are obligatory upon Muslims and are reminded to be generous and increase their charitable activities to help those in needs.

As an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) during the holy month of Ramadhan, Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) have organized a charitable event called “Share to Care: Ramadhan Charity Drive” to reach out to underprivileged families and orphans yesterday, Friday, 7th of May 2021.

The cash and in-kind donations were distributed to underprivileged families and orphans of Kampong Jerudong. This was made possible with the staff’s kind contribution of cash donation and along with large amount of in-kind donations in a form of basic necessities such as cooking oil, pack of rice, dried foods and more. The visits were led by Senior Managements of JPMC concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat.

Our “Share to Care: Ramadhan Charity Drive” is hoped to bring some joy and immediate relief for these selected families, especially in this trying time of COVID-19. With Hari Raya celebration just around the corner, we hope that the donations will help ease the burdens of the families during the upcoming festivities.
