Military Police Royal Brunei Armed Forces Contributes to JPMC Blood Donation Campaign

Event Date: Wednesday, 24th April 2019

The Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) recently held a blood drive for The Military Police Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel to commemorate The Military Police Royal Brunei Armed Forces 40thAnniversary and was led by Lt Col Hamdan bin Haji Raub @ Rauf., Commanding Officer of the Military Police Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense.

The blood donation drive took place at JPMC CME Room, Level 1 on 24 April 2019, from morning until noon, and the JPMC blood bank has successfully collected over 40 units of blood.

“Blood donation will cost you nothing but will give someone another chance at life.” said, Lt Col Hamdan bin Haji Raub @ Rauf. “With this blood drive, we hope to share this invaluable gift with someone in need.”

Donors were interviewed on their brief health history and screened for basic physical health. They will be made aware of certain factors to consider, such as pulse, blood pressure, body temperature, cholesterol, and hemoglobin levels, which will help indicate if the donor is eligible to donate their blood. The Jerudong Park Medical Centre hopes for future collaborations to aid the blood banks in the country.
